PrepXP is an independent app made by Shawn Davis in Ohio, USA. In this policy, "PrepXP", "we" and "us" mean the PrepXP project and its maker. If you have a question about your privacy, email [email protected].
This policy covers the website at getprepxp.com, the PrepXP waitlist and the optional Friends feature. The PrepXP app has not been released yet. Before it is, we'll update this policy to explain exactly what the app collects, including any health and fitness information, how it's stored and what control you have over it. If anything changes in a way that matters, we'll email people on the waitlist.
When you join the waitlist, we collect:
When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't add analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies, and we don't store your IP address with your waitlist signup.
Spam protection. The waitlist form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is signing up. Turnstile looks at technical signals from your browser and connection, such as your IP address, only to make that check. We receive a pass or fail result and don't keep those signals.
The website does not collect health information such as your weight, body measurements or food logs.
PrepXP has an optional Friends feature for comparing progress with people you choose. If you join it, our server stores your username, display name, avatar color, friend code, your friends list and blocked users, and your game stats: XP, level, rank, logging and weigh-in streaks, and weekly steps and workouts.
Friends never shares your weight, body measurements, food logs, photos or email address with anyone, and none of them are part of your Friends profile. Your stats are shown only to friends you've accepted. If username search is on, people searching your username see your display name, username, avatar color, level and rank. Anyone you give your invite link to sees your display name.
You can delete your Friends account at any time in the app under Friends → Delete friends account. This immediately removes your profile, stats, friendships and blocks from our server.
We don't sell your personal information, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
We keep your waitlist information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If we close the waitlist without launching, we'll delete the list. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to help you and then deleted when no longer useful.
Depending on where you live, such as California or the European Union, you may have additional rights under local law. We honor these requests for everyone, wherever you live.
PrepXP is intended for adults 18 and older. The website and waitlist are not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete it.
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS, and waitlist information is stored with access limited to the PrepXP maker. No method of storing or sending data is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.
If we update this policy, we'll change the effective date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we'll email the waitlist before it takes effect.
